we are arriving thursday for our annual vacation. i've been compulsively checking and it looks like there has been and is forecasted to be way too much rain! i am hoping, as has happend in previous years, that while maybe a threat, the island stays pretty rain free. help; i'm freaking out, someone help me to feel better!!!

Hi Claire. It's looking like rain through next week. But you know that can change. They can't really forecast weather. Shoot, a weatherperson can be 50% right and still draw a full paycheck. smiley Come on down and remember, you are still are on vacation. The shops are still open. Think fun
Saturday my daughter visited me from Georgia and we were at the pool. Sunday we went for 5 minutes before the thunder hit. No problem, we went to Callahans and still had a good time. It's all in what you make of it.
So don't fret, it's Hilton Head and there's always something to do.

I made this my home in September. Formerly Upstate New York.

I agree....a rainy day on the island is way better than a sunny day in Ohio!! You are at the beach! Even when it storms at HHI, it's beautiful! Enjoy the shops, restaurants and watching the storms roll in. Have a great time! 8)

in our 25 years, we had one with a week of rain, about 20 years ago. it was awful. have done all the shopping, etc. and since my dream week consists of doing my regular work schedule of 9-5 on the beach; its depressing to think about rain. with 5 little ones added to our group, gone are the days of beginning happy hour early! thanks for your responses. i'll keep thinking sunny thoughts. right now we just have to hope the landing weather good in jacksonville.
