Dave,

Thanks for the tip on Okka. Jill and like Thai food and I wasn't aware of this one. You're lucky to be through with pollen season already. Ours has just begun.

Cheers,
Will

Nice video Dave. Its full of beach scenes and it even answered my question about the blue walkway at Burke's Beach. There was a scene with a close up of it.The person who created the video really made me want to be on the beach today. I'm going to watch it again. The weather here is Ohio today leaves something to be desired.

I was driving down 278 the other day and saw this tag. Probably a coveted plate around these parts.

My wife's plate for many years when we lived in VA...close as we could get!

That's a pretty car except for the snow. I wonder how long the owner of the HHI license plate has had it? Hilton Head Island has been HHI for as long as I can remember.

Last trash day in VA many years ago. Leaving the snow behind (for the most part)...we did have a little here this past winter but no shoveling.

I've experienced the same road hazard several times since 1971. Actually one time it was an albino alligator!

Dave ~ I really like the fact that you left the snow shovels behind. I hope to join you in that symbolic gesture in the not-too-distant future.

JohnnyT ~ I've also seen an albino alligator on HHI, just not in the road. I used to live in Florida and we saw plenty of alligators, but Hilton Head is the only place I've seen an albino version.

Cheers,
Will

Dave, you're doggie looks like a real sweetie. He has very soulful eyes. Is he one of the breeds that doesn't shed?

Hey Paula, Bosco is a sweetie. He's a mini labradoodle, 30lbs, doesn't shed, hypoallergenic and is smarter than I am. He was my wife's idea but now I wouldn't have it any other way!

Yesterday I flew with my buddy from the golf club (who has his own plane at HHI airport) and a third guy, up to Mount Pleasant, SC, just north of Charleston. Met up with the pilot's financial advisor and played Rivertowne CC golf course. What a fun day. Beautiful weather and really cool to see HHI and the entire coast line up to Mt Pleasant from the air!

Nope. The plane ride was probably more fun than the golf...and I love golf!

I've taken a ride along the coast in a small plane before in North Carolina, but never Hilton Head. I'll need to look into it when we're down there next.

Also. I missed your first two pictures (on the previous page) and the explanation of the plane ride. I just saw them now. Very nice.

Cheers,
Will

Lots of rain here the past few weeks. Lots of "cart path only" and lagoons are very high. Seems like it's nice for part of the day then the sky opens up.

We were very lucky this past week. The weather forecast going in had a high change of rain every single day. It did rain on several days, but usually late at night. We were able to spend time on the beach every day and the temperatures were in the mid-80's all week. A couple of early morning walks on the beach were almost chilly with the breeze off the ocean. There would be big storms off over the ocean or on the mainland, but Hilton Head seemed to have a good weather bubble surrounding it this week. We had an amazing time and are considering a fall trip in a couple of months.

Cheers,
Will
